ACGC Public Schools will have four open school board seats in the upcoming general election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Each seat carries a four-year term.

Area residents interested in running for the school board may file an Affidavit of Candidacy starting Tuesday, July 14, 2026. The filing period closes at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

How to File

Candidates must obtain and file their paperwork at the District Office, located at 27250 MN Hwy 4, Grove City, MN 56243. The District Office is open on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM during the filing window. On the final day, July 28, the office will remain open until 5:00 PM to accept last-minute filings.

There is a $2 filing fee, payable by cash or check.

Candidate Qualifications

According to Minnesota law and the official 2026 Notice Of Election Filing.docx, school board candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Be an eligible voter.

• Be at least 21 years old upon assuming office.

• Reside within the ACGC School District for at least 30 days before the general election.

• Have no other affidavit on file for any other office during the same election cycle.

All affidavits and filing fees must be submitted to the school district clerk before the July 28 deadline.
