Let’s spotlight Tristin Stegeman as today’s featured member of the class of 2026!

Who was an ACGC teacher who made an impact on you and how?
“I would say the teacher that had the greatest impact on me was Mrs. Johnson. I could say it may be because of how I knew every day in her class would be fun and entertaining with a deep conversation among the class about our homework or everyday things, usually correlating to what we were learning in class. I would say she has had a greater impact on just being a great teacher, she has always been motivational, supportive, and has always been there to listen to me through my difficulties in class or just life. Mrs. Johnson has had the greatest impact on me as a person and student.”

What is your favorite memory from high school?
“My favorite memory is when my friend got lost at the MN State Capitol, later finding out he was trying to find the bathroom and got lost in the basement.”

What advice would you give to younger Falcons?
“Every experience in high school is as free as it will get.”

What are your plans for after graduation?
“To attend NDSU in the fall, pursuing a career in counseling.”

Way to go Tristin!

Let’s check in with today’s Senior Spotlight, Kendel Berger!

Who was an ACGC teacher who made an impact on you and how?
“Though there have been many teachers who have made an impact on me, I think Mr. Wallested was the most prominent. He didn't try to make everything fun or give motivational speeches, but he was always patient with me. As someone who has always struggled in math, his support and guidance helped me actually enjoy the challenge. It was also in his class that I was able to face my anxiety and learned to ask for help, even when everyone else understands the topic. His teaching has made me more confident in my abilities as a student and has played a major part in preparing me for these next steps in my life!”

What is your favorite memory from high school?
“Seeing Hamilton on Broadway on the East Coast trip.”

What advice would you give to younger Falcons?
“Don't be afraid to be yourself. Being vulnerable and unique will get you farther in life. Once you leave high school, it doesn't matter whether or not you were popular, and changing yourself to fit in won't be helpful in the long run. Being yourself makes you stronger and better prepares you for the real world.”

What are your plans for after graduation?
“I plan to attend Concordia College in Moorhead where I'll be participating in their first-year choir.”
